We help our clients by inspecting their products for contaminants, defects and other issues. We have over 30 years of experience, particularly in the Food and Pharma markets, and we’ll happily scan anything you’ve got that’ll fit through our machines!
When you call us, you’ll speak to Perry or Cortney:
Perry is our site manager. His handsome youthful appearance disguises over 30 years of experience of engineering in FMCG & food manufacture – so he’s got a good understanding of the problems you’re likely to be encountering, and is well placed to help you.
Your products will be offloaded into our warehouse near Barnsley, South Yorkshire, just off the M1 motorway. It’s 6,000 sq ft, so we’ve got room for at least 130 palettes.
Once your products are safely in their bay, we assign them a unique number which is used through the whole of the process and until they leave our site.
From our initial conversations and your FREE trial, we’ll already have discussed how we process your order, how quickly we can get it done, and we’ll have given you a guarantee of what we can find.
How we process your order depends completely on your requirements. Some people send us jars or cans that they want shinkwrapped with branded plastic for return. Other people send us bulk items in tote bags. Some people want us to decant their product into smaller containers so that we can achieve better results. Others need us to keep the integrity of large sacks.
We can do any of these things – it’s all part of our service. All you have to do is let us know and supply us with any branded items, such as cellophane or box tape, that we need.
When your order starts being processed, we’ll send you an e-mail or text to let you know. Of course you’re very welcome to come down to the warehouse and watch us work, if you’d like.
At this point, the process should now just happen – but if we encounter something unexpected we’ll be in touch so that you can make an informed decision.
When the unexpected happens
You might think that the unexpected wouldn’t happen in our industry, but it does! Here’s an example: a client asked us to look for a piece of metal that they thought might be somewhere in their batch of toothpaste.
As you can see, a piece of metal had broken off and they were really concerned to make sure that it hadn’t got into their product. When we inspected the tubes, we got a unexpected surprise – it looked like there were ball bearings in many of the tubes. When we called the client to let them know, they immediately realised exactly how it happened: during the same incident, one of the machines had broken a bearing but had carried on regardless.
They were really grateful to find out – and the good news is we also found the piece of metal.
As your product passes through our machine(s), any imperfections or contaminants will be segregated from the batch and marked with a code for your inspection. We produce a coded, timestamped image of each contaminated item so that you can clearly see what happened.
Once your batch has been inspected and repackaged, we generate a report of our findings and then let you know that the job is complete so that you can organise logistics. If the products are going back to you, we’ll send a hard copy of the report with them. If they’re being shipped straight out to a customer then we’ll post it instead. (You get a .pdf too).
Can we help you?
Product example: Shaving Foam
In this case, the customer was experiencing problems with a particular batch of their canned shaving foam. The internal mechanism wasn’t always meeting production specification – but they didn’t know which of the batch were affected by the problem. Rather than discard the entire batch, they shipped the cans to us for inspection.
Think we can help?
We hope to hear from you soon!
